BOSTON (CBS) — A recent survey found that more than half of Americans leave some of their paid vacation time unused at the end of the year.
According to a survey by Bankrate.com, 64 percent of U.S. workers get paid vacation days–though only 47 percent said they would use all of those paid days.
The survey also found that those who didn’t use all of their vacation days tended to leave at least a full week unused.
The amount of days the average worker uses was found to differ from region to region–with us here in the Northeast being the most likely to use all of our paid time off.
It also varied by age group, with a quarter of millennials between 18 and 25 saying they wouldn’t use any vacation.
