Are Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera Recording a Duet?!

This would have never happened in the 90s…

Rumor has it, pop rivals Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera are planning on recording a duet together.

It all started when a fan posted a screenshot from a music licensing website which listed both ladies as performers on Britney’s track “Do You Wanna Come Over,” from her 9th album Glory.

Also listed as vocalists are German dance duo La Bouche – you might know them from their 1995 hit “Be My Lover.”

“Here’s a conversation starter,” the fan captioned the picture on Twitter. “Not sure what this means but it certainly made me say WTF?! What are you up to @Xtina?”

Twitter obviously freaked out since it’s a known fact that Britney and Christina aren’t the best of friends.

The only time they actually teamed up aside from their days on The Mickey Mouse Club was when they opened up the 2003 MTV VMAs alongside Madonna.

Christina previously went on tour with Britney’s ex and fellow Mousekateer Justin Timberlake. Earlier this year, Britney and Justin talked about coming together for a duet.

Britney recently collaborated with Tinashe, who is featured on her single “Slumber Party.”
