STUDY: Driving on Less Than Five Hours of Sleep Is The Equivalent of Drunk Driving

You know what’s just as bad as drunk driving? Tired driving.

Driving on less than 5 hours of sleep is the equivalent of drunk driving, according to a study by the AAA.

Even missing an hour or two of sleep can actually double the risk of a car crash.

The AAA recommends getting 7 hours of sleep daily to prevent drowsy driving, which is responsible for about 20% of fatal crashes.
