Simon Cowell Throws Shade at Niall Horan’s First Solo Single

Uncle Simon is upset with yet another One Direction member!

It all started when Niall Horan signed with Capitol instead of Simon’s label Syco.

He released his first debut single “This Town” and while it was the first ever #1 song on the Billboard Social 50 chart, it didn’t make it to number 1 in the UK.

“He probably would have had a number 1 single if he’d stayed with me,” the X Factor judge who created the boyband told the Sunday Mirror.

“But you know who does have a number 1 this week? James Arthur. Very pleased he’s back with us with a fantastic record,” Cowell added.

This isn’t the first time Simon threw major shade at the boys.

When the group split and left him behind, Cowell said, “Sorry for making you famous.”

He also called out Liam Payne who signed with Capitol saying, “It is a bit annoying if I am honest with you – mainly because it is a another label who has now got your artist who you worked with for so many years.”

Harry signed with Colombia while Zayn signed with RCA, all part of the Sony family.

Even then however, Simon has some choice words for Zayn, who openly spoke about how the band never gave him any creative freedom and even criticized his TV show idea.

Do you think Simon is overreacting because he’s hurt personally? Or would the boys have been better off sticking with him?
