From the NFL to the MLB!
NFL Quarterback Tim Tebow is trying his hand at baseball.
The athlete was just signed with the New York Mets – he will play for the team’s Instructional League in the minor leagues.
The team made the announcement on Twitter:
“I just want to be someone to pursue what I believe in, what I’m passionate about. A lot of people will say, ‘But what if you fail? What if you don’t make it?’ Guess what? I don’t have to live with regret. I did everything I could. I pushed it. I would rather be someone that could live with peace and no regret than what-if, or being scared,” he said at a press conference.
Tebow last played the sport during his junior year of high school.
Since then, he’s been working on his football career.
He says with his venture into baseball he hopes for “a career in the big leagues.”
