Starbucks is testing out something all of us basic people are going to love – weekend brunch!
Time reports that the coffee chain is testing out a brunch menu in various markets, specifically the Pacific Northwest like Portland and Seattle.
Breakfast items being tested include Belgian waffles with blueberries, quiche with cage-free eggs in two varieties and baked French toast.
A Starbucks spokesperson released the following statement:
“As a company, we often test innovative products, programs and ideas to gather feedback from our customers and partners. As part of our commitment to bring our customers a wide variety of innovative menu of food and beverages that for a variety of occasions, Starbucks is currently testing a weekend-only Brunch Menu […] We’re looking forward to learning more, but do not have additional information to share on future availability of these products in our stores, or whether we will expand the test to additional stores or markets.”
The brunch items will be sold Saturdays and Sunday from 8am to 2pm.
Up until now, the only breakfast items you have been able to pick up at Sbux are “to-go” sandwiches, bagels and protein snacks.
If successful, weekend brunch will roll out at Starbucks restaurants nationwide bringing even more lines when you simply want to get a cup of coffee.
But dang… these Belgium Waffles look SPLENDID!!
