Nine years after the birth of the first iPhone, Apple’s done something that’s likely to anger a lot of people: they’ve removed the 3.5mm headphone jack.
After months of rumors about the upcoming iPhone 7, the details have finally been revealed by Tim Cook, Jony Ive and Phil Schiller at the Apple Special Event on September 7.
The phone has a number of incremental improvements. The display is an improvement, with more and brighter colors. One of the biggest changes is the camera, which has seen significant all-around improvements.
The bigger iPhone 7 Plus sports the biggest camera change, it now now has dual cameras on the back. They work as one to provide 2x optical zoom and create high-res photos.
Otherwise, the phone looks very much so like the iPhone 6 — very thin with rounded edges — with the exception of the dual cameras on its back.
