You ready to get a little maniacal?
Six Flags Great America has announced its 15th roller coaster – the all new free-fly coaster, The Joker.
Based on DC Entertainment villain that plagues Gotham City, the “insanely twisted chaos coaster will be a massive new centerpiece in the Yankee Harbor section of the park, next to Batman The Ride roller coaster.” Fitting right?
“We are excited to continue our partnership with the DC brand as it continues to resonate well with our guests. The Joker is undeniably one of the greatest Super-Villains of all time,” said Hank Salemi, Six Flags Great America park president. “This free-fly coaster will perfectly capture the essence of the warped and unpredictable nature of The Joker. It will take our park to the next level of thrills.”
So what can you expect from The Joker?
According to the press release, you’ll be lifted straight up a 12-story, 90 degree hill.
Then the “free-fly coaster will wreak havoc as riders flip head-over-heels at least six times along the weightless journey.”
The Joker sadly won’t be available by Halloween but it will be ready to unleash mayhem in the spring of 2017.
Six Flags will begin selling 2017 Season Passes with a Flash Sale through Labor Day weekend, with pretty major deals and perks.
