When you choose Tokyo as the location for the upcoming Olympics (and by upcoming we mean in four years) you need to be prepared for some high-tech stuff.
Japan hopes that the games will show the world just how high-tech and advanced the country really is.
The commercial announced Tokyo as the chosen location in 2020 boasted the cities beautiful skyline, their athletes and their accomplishments – amongst them Hello Kitty and Pac Man. Wonder why Pikachu didn’t make an appearance?
But for the games, you should expect to be wowed by robots, who will be very prominent considering the government hopes
to triple their spending on the human-like machines who will greet visitors in hotels and airports.
Sheesh, we cant even image what that means for the architecture of the Olympic stadium and their opening ceremony. The design is said to be an oval, wooden-latticied structure mixing the love of older structures with futuristic undertones.
Someone book Gwen Stefani and the Harajaku girls!
