Britney Spears is returning to the MTV VMAs and this time, she’s better than ever.
The singer, who is releasing her 9th studio album later this month, posted a teaser video for the awards show.
She’s not in the video, but she does provide a voiceover while a live python slithers around – in case you didn’t catch it, it is a clear reference to her iconic 2001 VMA performance of “Slave For You.”
This is Brit’s first time back on the show since her disastrous and awkward 2007 performance of “Gimme More.”
No word yet on whether she’ll do a medley of all her biggest hits, some new songs, or if she’ll bring out G-Eazy for their song “Make Me.”
The VMAs take place August 28th on MTV.
