The Cubs won the World Series for the first time in 108 years!
This is obviously big moment for those who bleed Cubbie blue!
As they gear up for another season, here’s why it’s always really GOOD to be a Cubs fan – win or lose.
1. Wrigley Field
The ballpark has a rich history and when you step into Wrigley Field, those memories are on display. (Read the fun facts about Wrigley HERE.) But the best part that whenever you go there, you’re welcomed like a friend. And there’s no better place to be than at the ballpark on a sunny afternoon at 1:20 in Chicago drinking a cold beverage. It’s all worth it. Everytime.
What other team has a whole neighborhood with rooftops dedicated to fans? Even if you aren’t headed to Wrigley Field for the game, you can grab lunch and drinks nearby at a Cubs-themed restaurant and watch the game on TV. And when baseball season is over, Wrigley is still poppin’ because that’s just how Cubs fans do. Wrigley is always bleeding Cubbie blue.
3. Cubs Fans Are Everywhere
Cubs fans don’t just live in Chicago- they’re all over the world. Anywhere you go, you’re bound to meet a Cubs fan that you’ll bond with over your love of the team.
4. The Partay
Cubs fans are always celebrating, even when the team isn’t doing that great. But did you see Wrigley last night? The party is probably still going down… and it will continue for months. Cubs fans are dedicated fans who deserve this… they’ve been waiting a long time and they’re ready to throw down a victory dance whenever, wherever.
5. The Uniform
The Cubs have no doubt the best uniform in baseball and they’ve had so many great ones in their history. The pinstripe home uniform was first introduced in the late 50’s and worn by Ernie Banks.
No other team has a starting time like the Cubs. When it’s game day and 1:20 hits, all the good feels just flow through your body like electricity… especially if you’ve left the office and headed north on the El.
7. The Food
Wrigley has some of the best ballpark food. The Wrigley Field Smokie, The Featured Decade Dogs, Giordano’s Pizza, Big W Burger, malt cups… gosh, is anyone else hungry?
8. The die-hard fans
Some people have been fans for 50+ years and that’s incredible. The Cubs play for the fans who ride and die with their team. And each year they say, “maybe next year,” because they believe, good things really do come to those who wait.
9. And of course… Go Cubs Go!
