Jennifer Lopez Loves To Perform Her New Single “Goin’ In” Live

Jennifer Lopez has been on a worldwide tour since the middle of June, with Enrique Iglesias joining her in July. She stopped to perform in Chicago, and talked with Showbiz Shelly about what it’s like working with her boyfriend, Casper Smart, how she manages to spend time with her kids, and how she celebrated her recent birthday.

Now that JLo has been on tour for a few months, she’s starting to get used to it. How does it feel to her? “Long. It feels so good,” she said. “I’m having a good time. We did South America, then Canada, and now were into the States, and I’m actually into the groove of it. I feel like I’m catching my stride.”

Jennifer just released the single “Goin’ In” featuring Flo Rida, which is on the soundtrack of the dance film Step Up Revolution and her first greatest hits album, Dance Again… the Hits. According to her, it’s a huge hit on the tour. “It’s one of my favorite ones (songs) to do. It’s one of the most powerful in the show. Everybody doesn’t know it yet. It’s just starting to play on the radio, thanks to you guys. It’s still a powerful number and people respond to it,” JLo shared.

When asked what it’s like to dance with her boyfriend Casper Smart onstage, she was very short with the answer. She just said, “It’s fun, we always have a good time. Working on the tour together has been a lot of fun.”

However, when it comes to her children and family, she always has a lot to say. JLo talked about her kids, Max and Emme, saying, “They’re doing great, thank god. They’re used to traveling, which makes it a bit easier. But I think we’re all a little homesick. We’re going to go to LA the day after tomorrow, and we do a few shows over there on the West coast. We’ll be home in our house for a week or two, and then we get back on the road.”

It looks like Jennifer finally got some down time with the kids. The next day she tweeted that they were playing in the park.

You may not believe this, but JLo just turned 43 years old on July 24th! How did she celebrate? “They had a little party for me on my friend’s boat in New York, and it was nice to be home. All my peeps were there, and my family,” she dished.

Age ain’t nothing but a number for her, though. She admitted, “I don’t feel like that (43 years old). It’s always hard for me to get my head around that number. I just feel like I did when I first started. Everything just feels exciting, fun, and I have so much to do. I think it’s a new time for me. It’s an exciting time in society and the world and my life, and I’m glad to be somebody who’s doing that, who’s being able to live her dreams way beyond what anyone would ever think. I’m just a simple girl from the Bronx.”

Jennifer Lopez’s greatest hits album Dance Again… the Hits debuted at number 6 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and her co-headlining tour with Enrique Iglesias continues through September.
