It will take some time to get used to calling Snoop Dogg by his new name, “Snoop Lion.” Why did he suddenly change his identity?

Snoop traveled to Jamaica earlier this year and somehow connected with the spirit of Bob Marley. Yesterday he officially announced his name at a news conference in New York.

According to FOX News, he said “I feel like I’ve always been Rastafarian,” and while he was there, he visited a temple and was renamed Snoop Lion.
