Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s proposal passed to decriminalize the possession of marijuana in Chi Town. The city will issue tickets ranging from $250 to even $500 for someone with 15 grams or less of pot.

No more arrests, only tickets. No jail time! But… it’s still against the law. This gives the city the time, money, and ability to fight more serious crimes. The tickets will begin to be issued as soon as July.
