Russell Brand is in New Orleans right now shooting a movie and getting himself in to trouble!

Monday, a paparazzi tried to snap a pic of him with his iPhone and Russell snatched it from his hand and threw it thru the window of a local law firm!

His reasoning? He tweeted:

Since Steve Jobs died I cannot bear to see anyone use an iPhone irreverently, what I did was a tribute to his memory.

LOL! He clearly was trying to make a joke of it, but he did tell the law firm he would pay for the window since that was his fault.

All better now?

Not so much!

The paparazzi who Russell took the phone from has pressed charges! Now the New Orleans police have a misdemeanor arrest warrant out for Russell!

Chances are he’ll just get slapped with a fine, and might get the paparazzi to drop the charges if he throws some money at him.
