No Drunk Driving Excuses, Free Rides Home On NYE Here

It is NEVER ok to drink and drive…EVER.  With the holiday brings the amateurs that can’t hold their liquor.  Thankfully, there are a ton of FREE services that give you a ride home to anywhere in the city and burbs.  Your bartender will always know where to call for the service but we have some listed below for you to put in your cell and be prepared.

**800-222-4357 (AAA-HELP)

Just tell the AAA operator, “I need a Tipsy Tow,” and a truck will be on its way.

 

Free Rides Home: Begins at 11 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and runs through 4 a.m. New Year’s Day for residents of Mokena, New Lenox, Orland Park, Palos Heights and Tinley Park. Pick-up and drop-off locations must be in one of those towns. Call 1-800-752-5400 for a free ride home.

 

Miller Light Free Rides: Between 7 p.m. and 2 a.m. on New Year’s Eve, there will be two private shuttle buses that run a loop through Chicago neighborhoods. Get a route and schedule by calling 800-FREE-RIDES.

 

Free Ride & Car Tow Home:

Anchor Towing, in Crystal Lake and McHenry. Tow truck drivers will hitch you on for free between 6 p.m. Saturday and 6 a.m. Sunday and will take the car within 10 miles of either city.

Sharp Towing in Island Lake also will give rides to drivers between 8 p.m. Saturday and 3 a.m. Sunday within a 25-mile radius of the Island Lake and Wauconda areas.

The Cary Police Department plans to partner with two companies to help revelers out, as well. Whitey’s Towing and A+ Towing will take you and your car home if you live within 5 miles of the village between 10 p.m. Saturday and 4 a.m. Sunday.
