Tony Azzopardi came forward claiming he helped her buy £1,200 worth of drugs the night before she died. Azzopardi says they met outside of a bar Friday night around 11:30 where she asked him to help her buy narcotics. Azzopardi made a call, then they shortly met someone who sold Amy half an ounce each of crack cocaine and heroin.

Azzopardi, who has a history of drug and alcohol abuse, said Amy then dropped him off. “She gave me a kiss on the cheek and that was it – the last time I saw her. She looked good, you know, fit – like she’d been clean for a while and filled out a bit. I couldn’t believe it when I found out she was gone.”

He also told Daily Mirror newspaper: “I want Amy’s family to know the truth about what happened. I want to help them out – but I’m worried about my safety.”

Alex Foden, Amy’s hair stylist has also confirmed that Amy was back on drugs. He was worried she would die a few weeks ago after her horrible performance in Serbia, which led to the cancellation of a planned European tour.

Reports of how Amy officially died should be in within the next week, where everything will be confirmed.
