Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg’s comedic performance earned them the number one spot this weekend pushing “Inception” to number 2 after a 3 week run at the top.

Sony Pictures estimate “The Other Guys” to have earned $35.6 million for it’s opening weekend with “Inception” earning $18.6 million. However, Leonardo Di Caprio’s flick has totaled $227.7 since it’s opening.

Also debuting this week, taking the number 3 spot was “Step Up- 3D” earning $15.5 million. Rounding out the top 5 was Angelina Jolie’s “Salt” earning $11.1 million this weekend at number 4 and “Dinner for Schmucks” starring Steve Carell and Paul Rudd earning $10.5 million.
